February is a very popular time in Cape Town, so we wanted to provide a number of recommendations for food for those who would like to make some reservations...

T&L TOP PICKS

Willoughby & Co

In the middle of the V&A shopping centre, it's Loz's favourite sushi. You can't book - expect a queue in the evenings/weekends as it's very popular with the locals, but it's worth it! Make sure to try the 4x4 (or 5x5 if you're hungry)!

Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic

A MUST VISIT (pictured). Oceanside dining with views over Chapman's Peak drive with an amazing fine dining set menu. It's fully booked throughout the year, so make sure to book.

NV-80

A steak/seafood restaurant in Sea Point. Just really good food, not much more to say. Booking advised.

The Bungalow

Based in Clifton, it's the most beautiful restaurant looking over Camps Bay. The food is great, and the sunsets are incredible - we were even lucky enough to spot some whales whilst we had dinner! Booking advised.

Chapmans Peak Hotel

If you're driving the iconic Chapmans Peak drive, please stop here for lunch in Hout Bay - they do the most amazing calamari in a really chilled setting. Loz recommends the 'Calamari & Portuguese Steak Pan'. No need to book (unless it's the weekend).

Codfather

A very unique restaurant - you go and choose your fish at a counter in the restaurant (fishmonger style) - they give you a ticket and you decide how you'd like it cooked and which sides you'd like. They also have a great sushi bar. Booking advised.

FRANSCHHOEK

La Petite Colombe

Fine dining restaurant in Leeu Estates (who also have an amazing spa!).

Babel at Babylonstoren

Slightly further out if you're staying in central Franschhoek, but a gorgeous farm-to-fork restaurant at Babylonstoren (which is a must visit farm - pictured).

Reuben's

A solid favourite of ours, and we go every time we're in Franschhoek. A nice vibe and good food!

Oku Asian Eatery

A great Asian restaurant in Franschhoek Main Street.

Tuk Tuk Microbrewery

So many of the restaurants in Franschhoek are fine dining, so if you fancy something a little more casual, we love this place on the Main Street! You can no longer book, so just rock up.
